Will and Alexis come home from the movies to find their house in disarray. In an effort to find out what happened, they interrogate Uncle Buck and each kid individually.
A proud Buck brags to his buddies at the bar that he has the nanny gig mastered, but soon a perfect storm of childcare problems has Buck doubting himself.
Miles gets in trouble with Alexis for attempting a risky stunt for his YouTube channel. But before his punishment begins, Buck decides to throw a "going to jail" party for the kid in the first half of this combined episode. In the second half, Buck's multitasking skills are tested as he tries to guide Tia, Miles and Maizy through crises, while at the same time honoring a tradition of watching the Bulls game with his buddy Cy. Elsewhere, Will and Alexis celebrate their anniversary.
Buck's first day as nanny proves stressful for Alexis, who insists on tagging along as he deals with a cranky principal, obtaining gluten-free cupcakes, and staging a small break-in for special dog food in this first half of this combined episode. In the second half, Will is jealous when his office buddies take an immediate and strong liking to Buck; and Alexis makes her reluctant kids compete in a lip-sync battle.
When Alexis feels that a laid-back Buck is not prepared for his first full day of caring for the children, she decides to show him the ropes. Almost immediately, Alexis' organized, by-the-book style clashes with Buck's shortcuts.
When Maizy has trouble selling Girl Scout cookies, Alexis and Will use different parenting strategies to help. As her parents become lost in their own aproaches, Buck steps in and uses street knowledge to help spike Maizy's sales.
Desperate for a babysitter, Will and Alexis Russell ask Will's brother Buck to watch their three children while they are away on a business trip. Worried about Buck's parenting skills, Will and Alexis return early and instead of coming home to chaos, they end up keeping Buck on as their Manny.
