Finale
After weeks of challenges and design, the final three contestants are tasked to create their own collection for each of the retailers. Eliminated designers return to assist their teammates, some are thrilled to receive help while others find the extra assistance more of a distraction. The winning designer is crowned and wins the ultimate prize of seeing their collections in all three retailers, Macy's, Saks and Express.

The "Fashion Star" contestants are tasked to reinvent a dated trend and transform it into a fresh and current look for this Spring/Summer season. They will pick a favorite fashion decade and recreate two modernized pieces. JesseRay and Garrett face wariness from the other designers, while others panic to make last minute adjustments. The buyers send the 7th designer home, revealing the final 3 contestants.
Sex Sells
"Sexy" is the theme of the week when eleven designers put their sexiest pieces down the runway. What classifies sexy is a matter of interpretation - and it's up to the designers to show major skin or leave more to the imagination. Team Jessica is under pressure to step it up, having lost a team member the week before, and one garment goes down the runway unfinished in the race to the fashion show. One designer "blows the buyers" away and sparks a major bidding war, which keeps the audience on its toes. The Mentors put two designers up for elimination, and the buyers send the second one home.
Showstoppers
One contestant kicks off the season with a bidding war between all three retailers, while another stuns the Mentors and the audience with the biggest buy in Fashion Star history. In the end, the mentors must put up two of their designers for elimination and the buyers send the first one home.
