A group of kids doing community service get struck by lightning during a storm, and begin to develop superpowers.

The gang learn that their community service is over and they start to think about life away from the orange jumpsuits. Still upset at the way Rudy treated her, Jess looks for comfort elsewhere but she soon finds out that her companion has a terrifying power that threatens her own life. Rudy's alter ego finds out that Helen, Karen and Sam aren't quite the superheroes he thought they were.

With the first anniversary of the storm coming closer, Rudy's alter ego and Abby organise a celebratory party at the community centre. Alex meets Sarah, who has a mysterious power that is making her life a misery.

The gang are given the task of looking after a group of terminally ill patients. One of the patients though becomes determined to cheat death. A gypsy casts a spell on Alex after he refuses to help a damsel in distress.

Finn is taken to the superpower support group by Rudy to help him try and get over Jess. A girl with a mysterious power becomes infatuated with him though and goes to some extreme lengths to be with him.
Series 5, Episode 4
Rudy's alter ego Rudy Two has managed to become more of his own person since he began attending the superpower support group. Whilst the gang are out on community service they discover a bumbling old man who ends up being more than he seems.
Episode 3
Abby begins an affair with Laura, whom she sees as her soul-mate so she is shocked when she learns that she is actually Laura's imaginary friend from her childhood and that Laura's power, given her by the storm, was to create Abby - who previously did not exist.
Series 5, Episode 2
The gang are out picking up litter as Rudy finds out that his dad is having an affair. Rudy investigates further with Jess's help and discovers that his dad has a superpower of his own.
Series 5, Episode 1
A barman called Alex finds out that he has acquired a strange new superpower that he has to use on one of the gang. He ends up being ordered to do some community service and finally joining the rest of the guys. Rudy's alter ego joins a mysterious new support group.
